Online content changes.
Preserve what you observed.
Web pages, social media posts, WhatsApp and Telegram conversations: VERIDICA captures them from your browser, computes a SHA-256 hash for every file and every message, and produces a PDF report that states method and limits. No data leaves your computer.
What you see today may be gone tomorrow
A post is edited. A profile disappears. A chat is deleted. Anyone working on online content needs to freeze the moment they observed it, with enough context to tell — and defend — it months later.

Content disappears
Deletions, closed accounts, content removed after a report. Without a timely capture, only the memory remains.

Content changes
An edited text, a corrected date, a replaced image. A screenshot alone does not say when it was taken or from where.

Evidence gets scattered
Different folders, improvised names, no record of which file belongs to which case or whether it is still intact.
From the page to the case file, in one click
Select a module to see what it produces. Every module works the same way: preserved files, hashes, report.
Web pages → six capture modes
The whole page, not just the visible part. With structure, source and a capture record.
- Visible screen, full page, selected area
- Complete MHTML archive and rendered DOM source
- Video recording of the tab with audio track
- SHA-256 and SHA-512 of every file produced
Social media → posts, profiles, videos
TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and more: the page, the media and the session you saw them with.
- Full page and source, with hashes
- Every image and video preserved and hashed
- Declaration of the account used, or public browsing
- Recording for streams that cannot be downloaded
Messenger → whole conversations, attachments included
VERIDICA reads the conversation from the page’s data model: no scrolling, no voice notes played, no read or listened receipts generated by the tool.
- IDs, platform timestamps, delivery status, forwards, edits
- History older than 90 days requested from the linked phone
- Attachments from 4 sources: local cache, server, phone, page
- Hash compared with the one declared by WhatsApp
Report → a PDF that stands up to cross-examination
Native text, selectable, laid out for reading. It says what was captured, how, and what could not be captured.
- Summary, method and alteration statement
- Numbered messages, never split across two pages
- A hash for every message and a chain for the whole conversation
- Hashes of the HTML report, the JSON data and every attachment
Custody → the case file is already in order
Every capture goes into the case folder, split by module, with chain of custody and an acquisition record.
- One folder per case: Capture, Social, Messenger, Custody, Record
- Chain of custody with hashes and session timestamps
- Acquisition record with operator and case reference
- No loose files in the Downloads folder
Every feature answers three questions
What it captures, what it exports, when it is useful. Features marked as unique have no equivalent in traditional web capture tools.

The difference from the tools you know
We do not promise «legal value»: no software can guarantee it on its own. We promise a stated, verifiable method — and capabilities the others lack.
| Capability | VERIDICA | Desktop web capture software | Screen capture extensions |
|---|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp Web and Telegram Web read from the data model, with platform IDs and timestamps | Yes | No, screenshots or scrolling | No |
| Chat attachments decrypted, hash compared with the one declared by the platform | Yes (WhatsApp) | No | No |
| No read or listened receipts generated by the tool | Yes, stated in the report | Depends on scrolling | — |
| History older than 90 days retrieved from the linked phone | Yes | No | No |
| A hash for every message and a chain for the whole conversation | Yes | No | No |
| The report states what was NOT captured, and why | Always | Rarely | No |
| Data stays on the operator’s computer | Yes, no server | Yes | Often in the cloud |
| Installation and updates | From the store, automatic | Program to install | From the store |

Stated limits
We write them here because the report always writes them. A forensic tool that hides its limits is not forensic.
VERIDICA requests older messages from the phone with the same procedure as the page. The phone must be on, unlocked and connected; otherwise the report states «phone not reachable».
VERIDICA looks for them in the local cache, on the server, on the phone and in the page. Anything found in none of the four sources is stated as not captured, with name, type, size and declared hash.
Message timestamps are those recorded by the platform; the capture time comes from the operator’s computer clock, not certified by a third party.
Signal has no web client: no extension can capture it. Telegram is supported in the web K version.
It captures what the operator, with their own session, already sees. Use on third-party accounts requires a legal basis: the operator is responsible.

Before you ask for a quote
Does captured data go through your servers?
No. There is no VERIDICA server: everything is written to the Downloads folder of the operator’s computer. Licences are verified locally with a cryptographic signature.
Does capturing a WhatsApp chat alert the other party?
No. VERIDICA reads the page’s data model without scrolling the conversation or opening voice notes and media: the tool generates no read or listened receipts. Unread messages are marked as read only because the operator opened the chat, and the report says so.
What does the report attest?
What the platform’s page made visible to the operator in the stated period, with the stated session; the SHA-256 hashes of the preserved files; the method followed and the limits encountered. It does not attest the existence of data on the platform’s servers or on third-party devices.
How do I verify a hash?
With built-in operating system tools: certutil -hashfile file SHA256 on Windows, shasum -a 256 on macOS, sha256sum on Linux. The value must match the one in the report.
How does the licence work?
Per workstation, annual, bound to the installation. Store updates do not affect it. Modules are activated with additional keys on the same installation.
Can I use it as a party-appointed or court-appointed expert?
Yes: the report shows operator, firm or organisation, identifier (registry or badge number) and case reference. The certified course provides the method to explain it in court.
What happens when the licence expires?
New captures stop; the case files already produced remain on your computer, intact and verifiable.
